My Texas Girls

Bella's First Texas Ten

1. She still LOVES that BEE costume and wears it often.
2. She is a girl of routine, consistency, and order. Once she learns it a certain way, it must occur that way each time.
3. She practices writing her letters and numbers every day.
4. She engages in these massive giggle fits with her sister, which in turn, elicits giggle fits from her parents.
5. She has to point out how hot it is each time we step outside.
6. On our first 80 degree day (yesterday), she commented that she was cold and wanted a sweater.
7. She misses her friends tremendously and wishes to see them again soon. (Mindy, she just said she wants to go to Claire-bears house again...) Sad.
8. At the same time, she is excited about her new school.
9. She is growing up to be a smart, intelligent, witty, observant, tenderhearted girl.
10. She is a fish in the water like her daddy. She has learned to snorkel, do flips, and touch the bottom of the pool!

Elin's First Texas Ten

1. She is soooo close to scooting! She gets her bottom in the air and kinda does this tacking movement, similar to how a sailboat would move.
2. She is also on the verge of sippy cups, pulling up, and standing.
3. See Number 4 above.
4. In the heat that we've had, she has sweated herself into a pool of perspiration.
5. She is easy going, happy, and comical.
6. She loves bread.
7. She is going to be a foodie like her sister and I -- always looking for snacks, the next meal, and thinking about food.
8. She is also a great road tripper - she did great on the trip down here.
9. Her hair is finally growing over her ears; she has the weirdest hair growth patterns with three colics and one in front. Poor thing.
10. In order to fall asleep quietly, she must have her lovey; either her silky sheep or her tabby blanket.
